Conceptual Clothing Revisited – I wrote a book during 2024 with colleague Fran Cottell at the request of feminist art critic/publisher Katie Deepwell about the subject of clothing in art, issues of representation, hierarchy, exclusion, and feminism, and specifically about the Conceptual Clothing exhibitions we organized in the mid 1980s on the UK and USA. The book also includes 15 articles by art critics and curators Aline-Marie Sauzeau-Boetti, Carter Ratcliff, Patricia Phillips, and Julie Schafler Dale and others. The book and exhibition were not about wearable art, but rather clothing as a subject.
